Really looks good, nice job hiding the pump. What shrubs did you plant?

I went to the "Tree Of Life" in Mission Veijo for all my California Native plants. I have Manzanita, Catalina Island Poppy, Heavens Breath, Indian Lavender and Indian Sage, the ground cover I believe is Star Light. I have the genus and proper Latin names at work. These are the common names. They are very cheap but you have to buy small and let them grow. They do have bigger plants but they do not adapt well to change in soil once they are established or bigger.

Your pond garden is so pretty! It's a pleasure seeing how the PondDigger creates a unique work of art in every water feature his team builds, and how each is so perfectly suited to its users. Good job with the landscaping, Alan and Annie! I bet you love your pond as much as I love mine.

Hi Janika...sorry we didn't make it out to your place. We ran out of time...spent to much time at Erics and out eating around the town :choccake: ...We will PM you once the boys are here and we have a free weekend maybe we can make a trip out your way.

I missed you two, but I was running around like a madwoman trying to make sure all the visitors were taken care of, so we'll have a more relaxed visit if you come out another time. At one point we had so many guests, it turned into a pond party :celebrate: and someone even suggested we call for a :pizza: ! If I'm lucky enough to be chosen for the pond tour next year, I think I'll hunt down some free musical talent :boohoo: :opera: to serenade people by the pond.

I'll post some pictures of the giant snakes on Eric's Construction Seminar thread in the next few days, so you can have a good laugh.

I snapped this picture today of the Catalina Island Poppy. It has had this many flowers on it constantly since I planter it. When I first put it in it was 10" tall and one stem. It is 3.5 feet now...both tall & wide. It can get up to 8' x 5' if you let it run wild. Shaping is good and can keep it in a more controlled shape. I haven't done anything yet...giving it time to root deep. Eventually I will not need to water it at all. To keep it looking good if we have a bad heat spell for an extended time period they recommend light watering.

Was up early this morning 4:45 I thought I would snap a picture of the pond & the California Native plants. I will snap some more later tonight & post them sometime tomorrow. Sorry the trash can is in the shot...I am keeping my tortoise away from the Indian Sage until it is large enough that he will not kill it by walking over it or eating it to the nubb.

PEACE
